Should Professional Athletes Make that Money?

We all love things that captivate our attention. That give us, what some may call "a reason to live", but how do we feel when the event or person is making money...off of you? Athletes, if you didn't know make a shit ton of money on your dime; you spend the money at theses events, you buy the collectible items, and you put endless time and effort towards something that could be better off with or without you! Their salary easily reaches into the millions. There is two sides of the spectrum. Some believe that an athlete should make as much money as the people (you and I) are willing to pay. Others highly believe that you should never get paid that much money to play a game!  I'm stuck somewhere in the middle. When a person makes it big, they (no matter how you feel about them) undoubtedly are liked by someone, someone who is going to break the bank just to see them play. And I just don't understand that. Why would anyone take money away from themselves just to see a person play for 3 hours or for however long they play.If forced to answer which sided I'm on, I lean more toward, athletes should be paid a well amount, because the people want to see them, and are willing to risk their lives (financially) for that "cause", but I can assure you that, that is not a cause worth killing yourself for.
