Philosophy Friday: Do People Have a Destiny?

Destiny, is a strange thing for many people. Are we suppose to be at the point in life in which we are in? The idea that destiny is real is implying that you are not ultimately in control of you life, and therefore where you are now is exactly where the deity or the universe would have you to be. I am not saying that you can't cause things to happen, it's the idea that higher power has already planed for you to take that action. Destiny, unlike fate implies that you don't have to fall inline with the set path for you. What trips me up is that your destiny is often told by someone who is a mortal they may be smarter then you, but they are still human. Which makes you question, are you suppose to be able to wiled that same ability? Is that ability even real? Where would you obtain the power from? This idea folds around fate has to be accepted and your destiny can be chosen. Religion portrays that a certain power has the steering wheel in your life and that it is for the ben...

What has music come to?

We all know that there are songs that are, lets face it, haphazard and half-ass productions. Maybe the writer didn't intend for us to see right through their authenticity and lies in the music. When people try to make up a character that's totally fine, but when you try to pass your real self as this fiction character that you are not, then we have a problem. Singers go so far to get noticed that they are willing to push a stale and distasteful image to the public that they loose what's left of themselves to copy something or someone they can never be. Maybe it's just me? Can we differentiate between what's real and what's completely bs? And some people like me, like the characters that some people portray because they put real elements of themselves inside it, but when you boast about this is/was your life and we can clearly see that, that's not the case because of what you previously stated then you sir have lost a fan. If you as an artist are going to cre...

The Human Leech

As humans we try to create special bonds with one another and try our best to make it work, but what happens when someone becomes a parasite? Do we just let that person cling onto us and suck us dry, hopefully not. Recently a certain someone as found their way onto my skin. A young person who is sweet, nice, and frankly delusional has forged there friendship with me. I would have no problem if they left a little bit of breathing room between us, but she does not; consistently following me and commenting on the very words I have yet to say. Before I can tell you how I killed this leech I first have to tell you the very thin line between a stalker and a leech. Stalker are oppressively crazy about you and would love to have you for themselves, and a leech is simply an annoyance that can not and will not leave you alone . Ok, now that we have that done. How to kill a leech step 1. Tell them I know some people think it's rude to directly tell a person off, and it is! If it gets to th...
